Russia seeks to draw Belarus deeper into war against Ukraine – SBGS
Russia continues to pressure Belarus to become more actively involved in the war. No buildup of troops has been recorded near Ukraine’s border.
According to Censor.NET, State Border Guard Service (SBGS) spokesperson Andrii Demchenko said this on television.
"Overall, we have not recorded any changes along the border. Of course, the threat from Belarus remains, but there is no buildup or formation of any strike groups in the direction of our border," Demchenko said.
Pressure on Belarus and fortification of the border
According to him, Russia continues to pressure Belarus to become more actively involved in the war against Ukraine, while military personnel and infrastructure facilities remain present in Belarus.
At the same time, Ukraine maintains strong defensive positions along the entire length of its border with Belarus to counter potential threats, the State Border Guard Service spokesperson stressed.
