181 combat engagements on front, enemy launches over 6,000 drones – General Staff
Since the beginning of Monday, August 24, 181 combat engagements have taken place on the front.
This was reported in the Armed Forces of Ukraine General Staff update as of 10:00 p.m., according to Censor.NET.
Enemy attacks
The aggressor carried out one missile strike using two missiles and 58 airstrikes involving 165 guided aerial bombs, deployed 6,060 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,353 attacks on Ukrainian positions and settlements.
Situation in north
In the Northern Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, eight combat engagements have taken place since the beginning of the day. The enemy carried out 61 attacks on Ukrainian positions and settlements, including two using multiple launch rocket systems. It also conducted one airstrike using two KABs.
Fighting in Kharkiv region
- In the Southern Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions 11 times towards Kozacha Lopan, Hoptivka, Starytsia, Radkivka and Zarubynka. Fighting continues.
- In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy conducted no offensive operations.
Fighting in east
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian forces repelled 11 attempts by the invaders to advance near Lyman, Novoselivka and Drobysheve. One attack is ongoing.
In the Sloviansk direction, the Defence Forces stopped seven attempts by the invaders to advance near Kryva Luka, Zakitne, Mykolaivka, Rai-Oleksandrivka and Riznykivka. One attack is ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the Russian invaders conducted no assault operations.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, the Defence Forces repelled 14 enemy assaults near Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Illinivka, Novoselivka, Vilne and Kucheriv Yar. Four combat engagements are still ongoing.
The enemy launched 22 attacks in the Pokrovsk direction. The occupiers attempted to advance towards Novyi Donbas, Dobropillia, Vilne, Novooleksandrivka, Serhiivka, Muravka and Novopavlivka, as well as near Rodynske, Myrne, Kotlyne, Udachne and Novomykolaivka. One attack is ongoing.
According to preliminary estimates, 35 occupiers were eliminated and 24 wounded in this direction today. Five vehicles, an ammunition depot, five pieces of special equipment, a UAV command post and 34 enemy personnel shelters were destroyed. Two vehicles, five UAV command posts and 118 enemy personnel shelters were damaged. A total of 242 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were destroyed or suppressed.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy launched three attacks towards Nove Zaporizhzhia, Andriivka-Klevtsove and Oleksandrohrad. One is still ongoing.
Situation in south
- In the Huliaipole direction, the Defence Forces repelled six enemy attacks towards Rizdvianka, Rivne, Dolynka and Lisne.
- In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped two enemy attempts to advance near Novoiakovlivka.
- In the Prydniprovske direction, the enemy conducted no offensive operations.
No significant changes in the situation were recorded in other directions.
