Military personnel with suspended service must not be assigned to combat missions, - Ministry of Defence
Work has been carried out with commanders at all levels to prevent situations in which military personnel whose service has been suspended are assigned to combat missions.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense reports this, according to Censor.NET.
Military personnel on leave
The prohibition on assigning military personnel whose service has been suspended to perform duties is already enshrined in law; therefore, the measures taken are intended to ensure unconditional compliance with this requirement and to prevent such violations in the future.
In accordance with paragraph 2 of Article 24 of the Law of Ukraine "On Military Duty and Military Service," military personnel whose military service has been suspended:
- are dismissed from their positions;
- are considered not to be performing (not to be carrying out) military service duties;
- are not part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine or other military formations.
It is noted that, pursuant to the order extending military service in accordance with established procedures, such service members may not be assigned to perform official or combat duties.

У Міноборони розповіли, що проблема стосується насамперед військовослужбовців, яким призупинили службу до 10 травня 2025 року, коли набрав чинності Закон України № 4392-IX.
Зокрема, йдеться про військових, які до цієї дати самовільно залишили військову частину чи місце служби або дезертирували, а після реєстрації кримінального провадження повернулися до військової частини.
Сам факт повернення до військової частини після СЗЧ не означає автоматичного продовження військової служби: вона має бути продовжена в установленому законодавством порядку", - наголошують у Міноборони.
Лише після наказу командира про продовження військової служби цього військовослужбовця можна залучати до виконання обов’язків і поновлювати йому грошове та інші види забезпечення, пільги й соціальні гарантії.
