Russia attacked Ukraine with 172 drones: Air defense forces shot down 148 targets. INFOGRAPHICS
Starting in the evening of September 20, Russian occupiers attacked Ukrainian territory with 172 Shahed-type strike UAVs (64 of which were jet-powered), Gerber UAVs, "Parodiya"-type decoy drones, as well as ‘Banderol’/"Dan-T" drones.
According to Censor.NET, this information was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.
UAV launches were recorded from the following directions:
- Belgorod, Shatalovo, Orel, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Millerovo – the Russian Federation;
- TOT Donetsk;
- Hvardiiske – TOT Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
Air Defense operations
The air attack was repelled by the Ukrainian Air Force, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned aerial vehicle units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 8:00 a.m., air defense forces had shot down or suppressed 147 enemy UAVs—including Shahed and Gerber models, as well as other types of drones—and one "Banderol"/"Dan-T."
Enemy airstrikes were recorded at 14 locations, and debris from downed targets was found at 4 locations.
"The attack is ongoing; enemy UAVs are in the airspace. Please follow safety guidelines," the Air Force emphasized.
