On the night of Sunday 20 September, Zaporizhzhia National University was hit by Russian shelling.
This was reported by Censor.NET, citing a post by ZNU on its official Facebook page.
Direct hit on a cultural heritage site
As noted, Building No. 3 at ZNU is a cultural heritage site.
Within its walls, years of study, gatherings, lectures and important moments of university life have taken place.
"Last night, the building suffered a direct hit," the statement reads.
Consequences
It was previously reported that Russia attacked Zaporizhzhia overnight: high-rise buildings, a shopping centre and an educational institution were damaged, and there are casualties.
