A Russian military intelligence agent has been arrested after infiltrating several plants in Dnipro to coordinate Russian strikes.
This was reported by the SSU press service, as reported by Censor.NET.
Who are we talking about?
The enemy recruited an electrician. The man changed jobs several times at regional plants, trying to find a company working for Ukraine’s military-industrial complex.
"As soon as the agent secured a job at a company actually linked to the defence sector, the SSU detained him.
According to the case file, having an ‘inside’ understanding of the situation, the agent drew up cartographic diagrams of local factories for the Russians, marking on them premises containing particularly valuable equipment, production halls and product storage warehouses. He also reported to the enemy on the specifications of finished products and the enterprises’ work schedules," the statement reads.
Furthermore, in addition to spying, the man attempted to identify and adjust Russian missile and drone attacks on the bases of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine.
SSU officers detained the suspect at his place of residence.
A smartphone was seized from him, which he had used to gather intelligence and maintain contact with a ‘liaison officer’ from the Russian GRU. The liaison officer turned out to be an employee of the occupying ‘LPR Ministry of State Security’, who works for Russian military intelligence.
The enemy agent has now been charged with high treason.
The suspect is in custody without the right to bail. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
