Soldiers of the 225th Separate Assault Regiment thwarted an attempt by Russian occupiers to break through to Ukrainian positions in two armoured vehicles carrying assault troops. During the battle, 19 occupiers were eliminated, while the driver of one of the AFVs surrendered.
As Censor.NET reports, the enemy armoured group launched its assault early in the morning, but Ukrainian aerial reconnaissance detected its movement in advance. The enemy’s coordinates were immediately passed to fire support units.
Artillery, FPV drones and heavy bomber drones struck the Russian armoured group in succession. Ukrainian infantry consolidated the results of the strikes on the ground.
Thanks to the coordinated work of the units, the enemy assault was thwarted before it reached the Ukrainian positions.
In total, the Russians lost 19 servicemen, while the driver of one of the armoured vehicles raised his hands and surrendered to Ukrainian soldiers.
