Russia launched more than 220 UAVs and missiles at Ukraine: Air Defense forces destroyed and intercepted 186 targets, - Air Force
On the night of September 22, Russian troops launched a massive attack on Ukraine, using various types of missiles and more than 200 attack drones. The main targets of the attack were the Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, and Poltava regions.
According to Censor.NET, this information was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.
Specifically, the enemy attacked:
- Onyx anti-ship missiles from the Rostov Region;
- Iskander-M/S-400/KN-23 ballistic missiles from the Kursk, Rostov, and Voronezh Regions
- 4 sea-launched "Kalibr" cruise missiles from the Caspian Sea;
- 8 "Banderol"/"Dan-T" missiles from the airspace over the Belgorod region;
- 212 Shahed-type strike UAVs (including jet-powered ones) and "Parodiya"-type decoy drones.
Drone launches were recorded coming from the following directions:
- Orel, Millerovo, Shatalovo, Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – the Russian Federation;
- TOT of Donetsk;
- Hvardiiske, Chauda – TOT of the AR of Crimea.
The main targets of the attack are the Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, and Poltava regions.
Air Defense operations
The air attack was repelled by the air force, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 8:00 a.m., air defense forces have shot down or neutralized 186 targets:
- 1 "Kalibr" cruise missile;
- 8 "Banderole"/"Dan-T" missiles;
- 177 UAVs of the Shahed and Gerber types, as well as other types of drones.
Enemy missiles and attack UAVs were recorded striking 22 locations, and debris from downed UAVs was found at 4 locations.
