Defense forces struck two key oil refining facilities on Russian territory.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to Censor.NET.
Bashneft
In Ufa (Republic of Bashkortostan), the "Bashneft-UNPZ" oil refinery was attacked, and a fire was reported on the plant’s premises.
"The Bashneft-UNPZ refinery has a processing capacity of approximately 7.5 million metric tons of crude oil per year. The facility performs deep refining of crude oil and produces gasoline, diesel and heating oil, liquefied gases, sulfur, and other petroleum products," the company stated.
Kuibyshev Oil Refinery
The Kuibyshev Oil Refinery in Samara has been hit. A fire has been reported on the refinery’s premises.
"The Kuibyshev Oil Refinery is one of the largest oil refining facilities in the Samara Group of the Russian Federation, which is part of PJSC "NC "Rosneft." Its refining capacity is approximately 7 million metric tons of crude oil per year. The plant produces gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil, and more than 30 other types of petroleum products," the General Staff reported.
