A Tu-95MS bomber crash in the Amur Region on September 29 claimed the lives of eight Russian officers. Among those killed were individuals involved in organizing missile attacks on Ukrainian territory.
This was reported by Censor.NET, citing "Mediazona."
Details
As reported, the plane crashed near the village of Krasnoyarove. Initial reports indicated that six crew members had died. They were conducting a training flight from the "Ukrainka" airbase.
Later, the local "Rural News" group for the village of Serishevo—where the airbase is located—posted about the unveiling of a memorial honoring the deceased pilots. The post was spotted by OSINT analyst Duke Garland.
What is known about the pilots?
"Mediazona" verified the information from the post and determined that all eight of the deceased served in the strategic aviation branch.
Six were members of the Tu-95MS’s main crew. The other two may have been on board as inspectors or passengers.
According to "Mediazona," most of the victims had served in Engels, Saratov Oblast, before being transferred to the Amur Oblast. Three of them—Major Andrey Lobanov, Major Andrey Gerasimov, and Lieutenant Colonel Fedor Pavlyukov—are mentioned in the Ukrainian project "The Book of Executioners." There, they are identified as participants in or organizers of missile strikes.
Following the SSU’s "Pavutyna" operation, the "Ukrainka" airbase became one of the main bases for long-range aviation.
The bombers first fly to the Engels or Olenya airfields near the Ukrainian border. From there, they launch missiles, and then the planes return to the Far East.
