Only 40% of Ukrainians believe country is moving in right direction. Trend is negative – KIIS poll. INFOGRAPHICS

The share of Ukrainians who view the country’s direction of development positively has fallen to 40%. By comparison, the figure stood at 44% in February 2024.
Censor.NET reports this, citing a Kyiv International Institute of Sociology poll conducted from September 12 to 21, commissioned by the NGO Forum.
Assessment of Ukraine’s direction of development
According to the poll results, when asked about the overall direction in which things are developing in Ukraine, 45% said they were moving somewhat or definitely in the wrong direction. Another 40% of respondents believe they are moving in the right direction. The remaining 15% were undecided.
Changes in public sentiment over a year and a half
Compared with the last poll in which sociologists asked the same question (in February 2024), the figures have remained largely unchanged.
Over the past year and a half, the share of those who say the country is moving in the right direction has fallen slightly (from 44% in February 2024 to 40% now), while the share of those who say it is moving in the wrong direction has shown no statistically significant change (46% then and 45% now). Meanwhile, the share of those who are undecided has increased slightly (10% then and 15% now).
