On the night of October 6, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with 137 strike drones of various types. Air defense forces destroyed and suppressed 114 enemy UAVs.
According to Censor.NET, this information was reported by the Air Force.
Among the drones used were Shahed drones—including 49 jet-powered ones—as well as "Gerbera," "Banderol," and "Dan-T" drones, and decoy drones such as the "Parodiya." The launches were carried out from:
- the districts of Orel, Kursk, Shatalovo, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk;
- the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk Oblast and Crimea—specifically, the Hvardiiske District;
- the waters of the Sea of Azov.
Air defense operations
The air attack was repelled by the Ukrainian Air Force, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 8:00 a.m., air defense forces had shot down or neutralized 114 enemy UAVs.
At the same time, airstrikes were recorded at 17 locations, and downed drones and their debris were found at four locations.
