The Ukrainian side has put forward proposals to "facilitate border crossings".
"This isn’t just about Moldova. There have been active Russian attacks in Moldova, and on the border with Poland as well. That is why I know that our relevant agencies are in contact with their counterparts in partner countries to discuss how to reorganise border operations to enhance security. The arrangements have been proposed," said Tykhyi.

The spokesperson added that he could not provide any further details, and urged people to wait for the partners’ decisions on their readiness.
"…There are certainly some logistical proposals on how to facilitate border crossings and improve security. But they are currently being worked on, so I won’t go into detail so as not to jeopardise these negotiations", Tykhyi concluded.

- On 17 September, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that a Russian attack drone had crashed near the border with Ukraine in the Volyn Oblast, not far from the Yahodyn–Dorohusk border crossing.
- On 23 September, Polish officials temporarily evacuated two border crossings with Ukraine after a Russian drone approached the border. At the same time, Poland scrambled fighter jets.
- On 24 September, Tusk reported a new Russian attack on Ukrainian territory near the Polish border. As a result, two border crossing points — in Zosyn and Dorohusk — were temporarily evacuated.
- On 9 September, Andrii Demchenko, a spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service, reported that the ‘Starokozache’ border crossing on the border with Moldova was the fifth border crossing to have been attacked by Russian strike drones in recent times.
