Ukrainian Sargan 3000 naval drone with turret destroys Russian "Shahed". VIDEO
Ukrainian defenders destroyed a Russian "Shahed" attack drone using an uncrewed surface vessel equipped with a turret.
The Ukrainian Navy published a video of the strike, according to Censor.NET.
Details of the strike
Naval personnel used a "Sargan 3000" drone fitted with a turret. The video shows several machine-gun bursts being fired at the Russian "Shahed", followed by footage of the UAV falling into the sea and exploding.
"A Shahed operating on a mesh network was hit by fire from a turret mounted aboard the ‘Sargan 3000’ uncrewed surface vessel. The Ukrainian Navy continues to carry out missions to protect Ukraine’s coastline and airspace," the military said in its commentary on the operation’s video.
More about the drone
- The Ukrainian Sargan 3000 uncrewed surface vessel has already been used in an operation in the Black Sea. In particular, in September, the Navy said that this drone, equipped with an automated 12.7 mm "Protector" remote weapon station (RWS), had destroyed a Russian uncrewed surface vessel for the first time in history.
- Naval personnel also used Sargan 3000 to sink a second-rank border patrol ship near Novorossiysk.
