Doctors in Kramatorsk, Donetsk region, are fighting to save lives after a Russian strike on buses.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this, Censor.NET reports.
What is known
"As of now, 30 people are known to have been killed, and unfortunately, the toll may rise. A Russian bomb effectively hit two minibuses. Some of those killed have still not been identified due to the severity of their injuries. My condolences to all their families and loved ones," Zelenskyy said.
Another 18 people were injured in the strike. Residential buildings and cars were also damaged.
The world needs to respond
Zelenskyy stressed that this strike would not go unanswered by Ukraine.
"Russia is trying to destroy all life in Donbas, and the world needs to respond to this. Respond firmly – exactly as the Russians deserve for all the deaths they have brought. Eternal memory to those killed," the president added.
Background
- As a reminder, Russian occupiers struck buses with a KAB in Kramatorsk today, killing 30 people and injuring 18.
- The Regional Military Administration said that public transport services in Kramatorsk and Sloviansk are being suspended due to the security situation.
