Budanov departed for US with Ukrainian negotiating team

Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov said he is heading to the United States with the Ukrainian negotiating team, where important meetings are planned.
This is stated in his Telegram post, Censor.NET reports.
Budanov announced important meetings in the US
According to Budanov, the Ukrainian side continues to work on strengthening diplomacy to bring a lasting and just peace for Ukraine closer.
"Not everything can be discussed publicly, but we must remain wise and united and support our military. Peace is not achieved through loud statements – it takes hard work together," Budanov said.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously reported that European partners would join the Ukrainian negotiating team, which will be in the United States on October 9–10.
A meeting with US special envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff is expected.
Who is on Ukraine's negotiating team?
Zelenskyy said the Ukrainian negotiating team would include Davyd Arakhamia, head of the "Servant of the People" parliamentary faction; Rustem Umerov, head of the Foreign Intelligence Service; Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Office of the President; and his first deputy, Serhii Kyslytsia.
"The meeting is expected to last two days. We are also counting on a European team to join our and the American negotiating teams," the head of state said.
During the negotiations, the delegation will also discuss details of securing funding sooner and strengthening air defense with European partners.
Zelenskyy also said the Ukrainian delegation is expected to return from the United States to Kyiv on the morning of October 12. Details of the negotiations should become known after that.
