Propagandist Baranets admitted to war crime committed by Russian army: "Malaysian Boeing was shot down by Russian officers. That vermin had intruded into our airspace". VIDEO
A Russian military propagandist, retired Colonel Viktor Baranets, has claimed that the Malaysia Airlines passenger aircraft, flight MH17, which was shot down in July 2014 over the Donetsk region, was destroyed by Russian officers.
According to Censor.NET, a clip from a broadcast on the Russian radio station ‘Komsomolskaya Pravda’ is circulating online.
"The Malaysian Boeing was shot down by Russian officers. Because that vermin had intruded into our airspace," Baranets stated.
As a reminder, on 17 July 2014, a Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 passenger aircraft, operating flight MH17 from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, was shot down over the occupied part of the Donetsk region. All 298 people on board were killed.
In November 2022, the District Court of The Hague ruled that the aircraft had been shot down by a missile from a Russian ‘Buk’ surface-to-air missile system, launched near Pervomaiske in the occupied territory of Donetsk Oblast. Igor Girkin, Sergei Dubinsky and Leonid Kharchenko were sentenced in absentia to life imprisonment.
