Lutsk may be without power for at least another 24 hours, - city council. VIDEO
The Lutsk city authorities are urging residents to prepare for a power cut lasting at least 24 hours. Hospitals are running on generators, water is being supplied at reduced pressure, and electric transport is not operating.
This was announced by the city council secretary, Andriy Razumovskyi, according to Censor.NET.
Power
"It’s been a difficult second day in Lutsk. There is no electricity supply to the city. The emergency alert has ended; I think they’ve started analysing the situation. Let’s hope the power is restored soon.
But I think we need to prepare for at least 24 hours to be ready. If they turn it back on sooner – thank God," he said.
Water
According to Razumovskyi, all sewerage systems are operational.
"Water is being supplied to all properties, though at low pressure. Therefore, there may be no water on floors above the 2nd or 3rd," said the city council secretary.
The situation in the city
Hospitals in the city are running on generators.
If the situation does not improve, resilience centres will be set up in Lutsk.
Public transport in the city is not running until the power supply is restored.
