Russian attack on Ukraine: Budanov demands long-range weapons and air defences

Ukraine’s Presidential Office head Kyrylo Budanov commented on Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities and villages on 29 October that killed civilians.
According to Censor.NET, he addressed the attacks in a post on his Telegram channel.
Budanov: Russia kills civilians and uses negotiations as cover
According to the Presidential Office head, the Russian strikes demonstrate Moscow’s true attitude towards ending the war and seeking peace. He stressed that the mass killing of civilians has become one of Russia’s methods of exerting pressure.
"Brazen mass killings of civilians right on the streets and in residential buildings in several Ukrainian cities in a single day – these are Russia’s ‘arguments’ in negotiations," Budanov wrote.
He said Ukraine and its partners must respond to Russian aggression with force. In his view, Russian military facilities must be destroyed, and Russia’s ability to continue the war weakened.
Long-range weapons and air defence: Budanov appeals to partners
The Presidential Office head called on international partners to strengthen military support for Ukraine. He stressed the need for long-range weapons and effective air defence systems.
"Long-range weapons to degrade Russia’s ability to wage a genocidal war, effective air defence systems to save Ukrainian civilian lives – this is what will truly bring peace closer," Budanov said.
He added that only joint action by Ukraine and its partners can stop Russian terror.
