Journalists from "Slidstvo.Info" managed to gain access to a private banquet where Valerii Dubil, a Member of Parliament for the "Batkivshchyna" party, was celebrating his birthday. The party took place on the day of mourning for the residents of Pryluky who had been killed in a Russian air strike.
This was reported by Censor.NET, citing a report by "Slidstvo.Info".
What did the media find out?
It is reported that the celebration may have cost around 600,000 hryvnias. The MP was required to declare these expenses within 10 days, but journalists were unable to find such a declaration. In a conversation with a journalist from "Slidstvo.Info", Dubil assured them that it was an event organised by the "Christian Corps", to which he had been invited as a partner, and that the guests present "simply wanted to congratulate him". In particular, "Batkivshchyna" leader Yulia Tymoshenko gave a congratulatory toast.
It is also noted that among the guests were individuals implicated in NABU investigations.
