Zelenskyy discusses preparations for Ukraine-US-Russia trilateral meeting with Witkoff and Kushner

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held talks on November 4 with US special envoy Steve Witkoff and the US president’s son-in-law Jared Kushner ahead of a meeting between Ukraine, the US and Russia in Abu Dhabi.
Zelenskyy announced this on social media, Censor.NET reports.
Preparations for trilateral talks
The president said he had spoken with Witkoff and Kushner "in great detail" for an hour and a half. According to him, the parties are now preparing for trilateral talks between Ukrainian, US, and Russian teams.
"Negotiations must be as intensive as possible to end this war as soon as possible. Ukraine is ready to take the necessary steps, our proposals are clear, and we have submitted them to the American side," he said.
Meetings in Brussels
Zelenskyy also reported that the Ukrainian and US teams had held a substantive meeting in Brussels with representatives of the EU, France, Britain, Germany, NATO, the World Bank and the global business community. The discussions focused on Ukraine’s postwar reconstruction.
According to Zelenskyy, another meeting will take place in Brussels tomorrow, focusing on security guarantees for Ukraine.
Air defence and "Drone Deals"
- Zelenskyy stressed that air defence was a major priority and had also been discussed with the Americans. According to him, Ukraine needs Patriot interceptors to protect lives from Russian strikes.
He added that work must continue on each of the bilateral tracks with the US, including the Drone Deals format.
"Ukraine is grateful to the United States for supporting Ukraine’s independence, our people and diplomatic efforts. There is no alternative to peace, and postwar security guarantees must be truly ironclad. We are working towards this!" Zelenskyy added.
