Rada holding hearing on Ukraine's approximation to NATO standards
The Verkhovna Rada Committee for National Security and Defense as well as Foreign Affairs and European Integration Committees are holding a joint hearing on the adoption of NATO standards.
A Censor.NET correspondent reports.The key topic on the agenda is as follows: "Ukraine's approximation to NATO standards: obstacles and achievements. Progress in carrying out the Annual National Program under auspices of the NATO-Ukraine Commission and the Strategic Defense Bulletin of Ukraine."
The meeting is to consider the following issues:
- achievements and challenges faced by the government in implementing the interdepartmental coordination of Ukraine-NATO cooperation;
- progress in implementing the Annual National Program in the first half of 2017;
- progress in carrying out Ukraine's Strategic Defense Bulletin in the context of the implementation of NATO's Comprehensive Assistance Package for Ukraine in the first half of 2017;
- intermediate results of information and explanatory activities stipulated by the plan to implement the Concept of Raising Public Awareness on Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic Integration for 2017, etc.
