A group of generals and officers headed by the Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Lieutenant General Serhii Naiev continues to provide effective assistance to subordinate troops in the performance of combat missions. In particular, this applies to air defense units that protect the sky over the critical infrastructure of Kyiv and the region.
This is stated by Public Affairs Department of the Joint Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reports Censor.NЕТ.
According to the commander, direct work in the troops makes it possible to make sure that everything is ready for action, and if necessary, to intervene in the preparation process to ensure and assist tactical commanders.
"The air defense system of the northern direction is organized in close cooperation with the Air Force of Ukraine. Mobile fire groups are allocated from the units that provide cover for important objects, which are reinforced with weapons that are transferred to us as a result of material and technical assistance from partner countries," said Lieutenant General Serhii Naiev.
According to the commander, these units are on constant combat duty and depending on the growing threat of air strikes, they increase their readiness for action.
"Servicemen improve their professional skills every day in order to show it in the best possible way with the highest result, that is, to qualitatively destroy the enemy's air attack means," Naiev emphasized. - This is a very hard work that should bring us the desired result. In general, the degree of target destruction reaches more than 75 percent. This is a significant indicator, but we would like to achieve even greater results and we are working on it."
