On evening of 30 May, a powerful explosion occurred in Russian-occupied Melitopol.

According to Censor.NET, this was reported in a telegram by the mayor Ivan Fedorov.

He said: "Powerful explosions in Melitopol that the whole city heard."

Later, Fedorov clarified the location of the explosion and posted a photo: "Residents are seeing black smoke on the western outskirts of Melitopol - in the area of the Avtokolorlit plant seized by the occupiers, which the enemy has turned into a military base. The occupiers immediately reported 'accurate air defence', but the smoke is rising from the ground to the sky."
