A monument to the Hero of Ukraine Oleksandr Matsiyevsky, who was shot dead by the Russian occupiers for saying "Glory to Ukraine", was erected in Georgia.

The sculpture was installed in the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi.
As you know, on 6 March, a video was posted online showing the Russian occupiers shooting a captured Ukrainian soldier for saying "Glory to Ukraine". The footage received a wide public response. The minimal amount of information about the time and place of this crime led to the identification of the Ukrainian Hero with 2 people.
The Facebook page of the 30th Separate Mechanised Brigade stated that the soldier in the footage was Tymofiy Shadura, but stressed that this was "preliminary data".
Censor.NET editor-in-chief Yuriy Butusov wrote in his blog that it was a soldier of the fire support company of the 163rd battalion of the Territorial Defence of Nizhyn of the 119th brigade of the TD forces, Oleksandr Ihorovych Matsievskyi.
On 8 March, the Regional Directorate of the 'North' TD of the Armed Forces of Ukraine officially stated that the footage showed soldier Oleksandr Matsiyevskyi.
On 12 March, the SSU officially released information that the soldier who was shot was Oleksandr Matsiyevskyi.
President Volodymyr Zelensky has awarded Oleksandr Matsievskyi the title of Hero of Ukraine.
