In Kyiv, police detained a cyclist who was pouring red paint at passersby. Why he did this, he could not explain.

This was reported by the Kyiv police, Censor.NET informs.

The police received several complaints from residents of Podil that a cyclist poured red paint on them. All units of the Podolsk district were organized to search for him. The suspect was soon detained.

"He turned out to be a previously unconvicted resident of Kyiv, born in 1981. The latter had with him a bottle of red paint, which, together with the bicycle, was seized by law enforcement officers as material evidence. The detainee could not explain the purpose of his actions," the police said in a statement.

He was informed of the suspicion of gross violation of public order motivated by obvious disrespect for society. The penalty for such a crime is a fine of UAH 17 thousand to UAH 34 thousand, arrest for up to 6 months, or restriction of liberty for up to 5 years.
