SSU has neutralized FSS agent network that, on October 18, adjusted Russian missiles to target multi-story building in Zaporizhzhia.. VIDEO&PHOTOS
The SSU neutralised the FSS agent network that was adjusting the occupiers’ air strikes on the military and civilian infrastructure of Zaporizhzhia.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the SSU press service.
It is noted that as a result of a special operation in the regional centre, a resident (leader) of the enemy group was detained, who on 18 October this year "guided" Russian missiles at an apartment building in the city centre.
That night, 5 people were killed and 5 others were seriously injured as a result of the enemy shelling.
According to the investigation, the resident Russian agent was a local resident, a representative of the Zaporizhzhia "military reenactment club", which brings together fans of reenacting historical events, including military battles.
"In mid-October 2023, he was remotely recruited by the FSS to conduct reconnaissance and subversive activities in a frontline city.
For covert communication with the Russian secret service, the accomplice chose the operational pseudonym "Palestinian" and created an anonymous chat room in a popular messenger. To ensure the fulfilment of hostile tasks, he formed his own group of informants, which included 4 local residents, including his relatives," the press service said.
According to the investigation, they reconnoitered the locations of the Defence Forces in Zaporizhzhia, as well as transmitted the geolocation of residential infrastructure and industrial facilities.
The SSU noted that in order to collect intelligence, informants walked around the area or visited facilities and took photos and videos of them on their own phones.
They passed the information to the 'Palestinian', who then sent it to the FSS through a 'liaison' in one of the temporarily occupied cities in Zaporizhzhia.
During the searches of the residences of the detained FSS resident and his accomplices, firearms, computer equipment and mobile phones with evidence of criminal actions were seized.
The defendants were also found to be carrying banned Soviet and pro-Kremlin symbols.
Currently, the SSU investigators have served Palestinian with a notice of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 28, Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons under martial law) and a measure of restraint in the form of detention has been imposed. He faces life imprisonment.
The investigation is currently underway to bring all members of the intelligence network to justice.
