What they talked about

American aid

"First of all, we expressed our gratitude for the new $2.3 billion aid package, which includes anti-tank weapons, interceptors, ammunition for Patriot and other air defense systems," the minister said.

He stressed that air defense is our priority and the main focus of this meeting.

"We discussed in detail with Mr Austin the provision of additional systems to Ukraine to protect our cities and critical infrastructure. I am grateful to Germany, Romania, and the United States for announcing the provision of new batteries. We are also in constant communication with other allies on this issue. On the instructions of the President of Ukraine, we are actively working to ensure that these systems arrive in Ukraine as soon as possible," Umerov added.

"Reinforcement of combat brigades with weapons and ammunition is another focus of our work with American partners. We are working to provide our brigades with everything they need. I am grateful to Lloyd Austin for his personal leadership and involvement in the Contact Group on Ukraine's Defence (in the Ramstein format)," the Defence Minister summed up.

A formula for peace

Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak spoke in detail about the results of the inaugural Peace Summit and further steps to implement the points of the Peace Formula.
