The occupiers carried out an air strike on one of the elders of the Sumy community, wounding the man.
This was announced by the head of the Sumy CMA Oleksii Drozdenko, Censor.NET reports.
"Around lunchtime, an air strike was launched against one of the starostas of our community," he wrote.
It is noted that one wounded person is known, he is being provided with the necessary medical care. No one was killed.
Private houses and cars were also reportedly destroyed and damaged.
Earlier, the General Staff reported that theintensity of hostilities in the Sumy sector had increased. The enemy is actively using aircraft, helicopters, and heavy weapons. However, it is not successful.
In addition, due to the tense situation, 5 districts in the Sumy district are being evacuated from their settlements.
At the same time, the humanitarian corridor Kolotylivka-Pokrovka, which was used to return people from the occupation to the government-controlled territories of Ukraine, is being closed for 10 days in Sumy region, on the border with Russia.
