A 42-year-old journalist from Luhansk, Andrii Buchak, who had been serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine since 2014, was killed at the front.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported by his wife Olena.
"Forever 42. You left so early. A beloved husband, a loyal friend always ready to help, cheerful, a bit of a romantic, dreaming, enjoying life, loving to travel. A true patriot, he loved Ukraine and fought for its freedom," she wrote.
What is known about the deceased journalist Andrii Buchak?
According to the Luhansk-based "Realna Gazeta", in the 2000s, Andrii Buchak worked for the Luhansk-based advertising and information newspaper "Kurier".
According to the Return's portal, Andrii Buchak disappeared on 13 August 2024 near the village of Vodiane (Donetsk region).
He took an active part in the Luhansk Maidan and joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine after the war broke out in 2014.
Andrii Buchak went by the nickname 'Andrii Luhanskyi' on social media, and his call sign in the army was Luhansk.
Buchak became the 93rd media professional to die as a result of Russia's full-scale aggression.
