The SSU detained another Russian military intelligence agent operating in Chernihiv region. According to the case file, the offender was correcting Russian air attacks.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the SSU press centre.
What did military counterintelligence find?
According to the SSU Military Counterintelligence, it was at the direction of the suspect that in early November this year, the ruscists attacked the regional centre with two Kh-59 aerial missiles.
The enemy agent turned out to be a local resident who was recruited by the Russian GRU through anti-Ukrainian comments on Russian Telegram channels.
Reportedly, for future adjustments of Russian strikes, the enemy intelligence service has assigned her a task: to install a hidden video camera near potential targets.
Using a disguised "video trap", the ruscists wanted to track the locations of Ukrainian air defences and after the air attack to record its consequences.
Detention of a traitor
However, the SSU military counterintelligence prevented this and detained the traitor near her residence in Chernihiv. The SSU seized video recording devices and a mobile phone with evidence of reconnaissance and subversive activities in favour of Russia.
SSU investigators have served the detainee a notice of suspicion under Part 2 Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law).
The offender is in custody. She faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
