Border guards expose scheme of men smuggling across border with Romania in Chernivtsi region - SBGS. VIDEO+PHOTOS
In Chernivtsi region, border guards detained a group of people who were trying to smuggle men to Romania.
This was reported by the State Border Guard Service, Censor.NET informs.
Operatives of the Chernivtsi Border Guard Detachment received information about the preparation of an illegal border crossing. At a certain time, a resident of the border area was transporting three men to the border in his own car. However, border guards intercepted the car in time and detained the offenders.
As noted, another car was soon detained with a local woman who controlled the movement of the offenders. The detainees reported that they had agreed with the organiser of the smuggling for a monetary reward of USD 9,000 each.
A report on an administrative offence was drawn up against three illegal migrants.
A notice of suspicion was sent to law enforcement agencies against the other participants of the schemes, a man and a woman, under Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The information was registered in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations. Measures to find the main organiser of this illegal activity are under way.
