Law enforcement officers discovered an ammunition depot in Kharkiv. The room for storing the weapons was arranged in one of the garage cooperatives in Nemyshlianskyi district.
This was reported by the Main Department of the National Police in Kharkiv region, Censor.NET reports.
The cache of ammunition was discovered by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine jointly with investigators of the Nemyshlianskyi District Police Department in Kharkiv.
As a result of the search, law enforcement officers seized the items:
- 182 grenade launcher rounds of various types;
- more than 30 different grenades;
- fuzes, rocket-propelled infantry flamethrowers, anti-tank and anti-personnel mines;
- 70 starter powder charges for PG-7
- TNT blocks;
- more than 20 warheads and jet propulsion systems for the TBG-7V grenade launcher, etc.
A criminal investigation was opened under Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives). The article provides for up to seven years in prison.
The persons involved in the crime are currently being identified.
