According to the "Dilove" Operational and Investigation Department of the Mukachevo Border Guard Detachment, the man tried to smuggle four citizens who came from different regions of Ukraine - Lviv, Ternopil, Kherson and Poltava.

The offender promised to deliver his "clients" to the border area and indicate the route across the Tisa River. He estimated his services at $10-15 thousand.

The suspect was detained on the outskirts of Dilove village. During the operation, the men tried to escape, so the border guards made warning shots.

Proceedings were opened against the organiser under Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal transfer of persons across the state border). The Rakhiv District Court imposed on him a measure of restraint in the form of 60 days in custody with the possibility of bail in the amount of UAH 605,000.

The detention was carried out by officers of the Operational and Investigation Department and the Border Guard Service Department "Dilove" of the Mukachevo Detachment together with the Rakhiv District Police. The investigation is ongoing.
