NRC (National Resistance Center) has identified Russian serviceman Yan Sadovnik, who is involved in the annexation of Crimea, participation in the Syrian conflict and the war against Ukraine.

This Russian GRU officer serves in the 317th Special Operations Centre in Sevastopol, which is actively involved in the war against Ukraine.

Sadovnik has a military engineering degree and began his service in 1999. In 2014, he was transferred to Crimea, where he became a senior diving specialist. Later, he joined the Russian Special Forces and was actively involved in sabotage and reconnaissance activities.

His activities include shelling of Ukrainian cities and sabotage, as well as involvement in subversive operations in cyberspace. Sadovnik was involved in the annexation of Crimea, operations in Syria and the war that Russia is waging against Ukraine.

Documentary evidence suggests that he was involved in requests to provide his unit with drones to participate in the war. The National Resistance Centre also has information about his numerous frauds, connections with militant groups and personal compromising materials.
