FSB saboteurs who blew up railway track in front of train in Khmelnytskyi region detained - SSU. PHOTO
The SSU and the National Police neutralized an FSB subversive group in the Khmelnytskyi region. Two criminals blew up a track on a local railway line on which a freight train was moving.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the SSU press service.
How was the sabotage planned?
To commit the sabotage, the offenders manufactured a remote-controlled improvised explosive device, which was filled with TNT and plastid.
They placed the ready-made explosives under the railway rails and activated them when the locomotive approached. For "reporting" to the occupiers, their accomplices recorded the undermining of the track on a phone camera.
No one was injured in the incident. The driver managed to stop the train in time, and after repairing the railway track, the train continued to its destination.
Law enforcement officers detained both offenders in a matter of hours in hot pursuit. While fleeing the scene, the offenders changed cars and got into another one to hide the traces of the crime.
What was found during the search?
However, this did not help them. During the search, the SSU seized explosives and mobile phones with evidence of sabotage.
The aggressor's accomplices were two residents of the Khmelnytskyi region aged 28 and 29. One of them was a drug addict, the other was a deserter who had left his military unit without permission and was hiding.
Both young men came to the attention of the FSB when they were looking for "easy" money on thematic telegram channels.
However, instead of the promised money from the Russian Federation, the defendants received suspicion from the SSU investigators under Part 2 of Article 113 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (sabotage committed under martial law).
The offenders are in custody. They face life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
