Russian attack on Kyiv: Rescue and recovery operations in Shevchenkivskyi district completed. PHOTOS
Rescuers have completed rescue and recovery operations in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv after a Russian shelling.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, Censor.NET informs.
"We are grateful to our rescuers and all the city services that quickly and efficiently eliminated the consequences of the enemy's attack. Many thanks to the volunteers who warmed us with warm tea and food, supported and inspired us!" - the statement reads.
The State Emergency Service also reminded that 3 people were killed and three others were injured as a result of the morning Russian shelling of the capital.
As a reminder, on the morning of 18 January, Russian troops attacked Kyiv. A fire was reported in a non-residential building in the Shevchenkivskyi district and three people were killed.
Strike on Kyiv on 18 January 2025
Earlier, Censor.NET reported that on the morning of 18 January 2025, explosions were heard in Kyiv, and the mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that air defence was in operation. At first, the KCMA and the Prosecutor General's Office stated that the attack killed 4 people, a non-residential building was on fire in the Shevchenkivskyi district, and there was smoke in the entrance of the building. It was also reported that the entrance to the Lukianivska metro station was damaged. Later, it became known that the information about the fourth victim in Kyiv was not confirmed: a security guard and two passengers in a minibus were killed in the Russian attack.
