Minister of Defence of Ukraine Rustem Umerov met with Chief of Defence Staff of Canada General Jenny Carignan.
Umerov posted this on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.
"Together with the team, we informed our Canadian partners about our security priorities: stabilising the frontline, striking at critical enemy targets, and developing our industry.
Thanks to the investments of our allies, Ukraine is one of the leaders in the production of UAVs, ground robotic systems and electronic warfare systems. I am grateful for Canada's strong support, in particular in financing the production of Ukrainian drones based on the Danish model," Umerov said.
At the same time, General Carignan stressed that Canada is determined to increase its assistance to Ukraine.
Umerov also outlined the areas in which we need to increase supplies: air defence equipment, heavy armour and certain types of ammunition.
"We look forward to cooperation in the field of deepstrike. This concerns both the supply of Western models and the promotion of Ukrainian production of long-range weapons," the minister added.
