The SSU and the National Police prevented the murder of the First Deputy Minister of Health. Two criminals who wanted to kill the official in the near future were detained.

"The defendants were detained red-handed when they tried to transfer money for the purchase of firearms to commit a crime. According to the case, the offenders were two residents of Kyiv region. They had been following the First Deputy Minister for several months, studying his daily routine and travel routes," the statement said.
They went to a private shooting range for a long time and practised their shooting skills. The offenders then started looking for a black market seller of weapons, but were detained by the SSU and the National Police when they were transferring money for the gun.
They have been served a notice of suspicion under Part 1 Article 14, Part 1 Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (premeditated murder). The issue of choosing a measure of restraint is also being decided.
The offenders face up to 15 years in prison.
According to the website of the Ministry of Health, the First Deputy Minister is Serhii Dubrov.
