Number of wounded in Kropyvnytskyi increased to 14. Almost 90 houses were damaged. PHOTOS

In Kropyvnytskyi, Kirovohrad region, the number of people injured by Russian shelling on the night of 20 March has risen to 14, and expert inspections of 70 private and 17 apartment buildings are underway.

According to Censor.NET, citing Ukrinform, this was reported at a briefing by representatives of the Kropyvnytskyi City Council.

It is noted that 14 people were injured, including four children, two of whom are in serious condition, in intensive care. All the victims were provided with emergency medical care.

According to the results of the surveys, 70 private and 17 apartment buildings were damaged, and one household was almost completely destroyed. Most of the buildings had broken windows, torn doors, destroyed roofs, fences, and damaged facades.

"Both residential high-rise buildings and the private sector, an educational institution, a church, and critical infrastructure facilities were destroyed. Novomykolaivka's neighbourhoods - Myru and Bratislavska streets and Balashivka - were the most affected," said Oleh Koliuka, secretary of the city council.

In the microdistricts that have suffered the most damage, operational headquarters are working to eliminate the consequences of the strike. Specialists from the Department of Social Policy and the Department for Citizens' Appeals are accepting applications for assistance from residents. As of 3 p.m., they have received 189 applications from residents about property damage. Next, construction experts will work to calculate and allocate financial assistance to the victims. The funds will be allocated from the reserve fund of the city budget.

The 10 April NGO, the KropHub volunteer centre, Territory of Success, the Red Cross, and ordinary citizens also came to the aid of the victims of the shelling.

On the night of 19 March, Russians launched drone strikes on Kropyvnytskyi. As a result of the attack, civilian infrastructure was damaged.
