Zelenskyy visits command post of 59th Unmanned Systems Brigade. PHOTOS
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the command post of the 59th separate assault brigade of unmanned systems named after Yakiv Handziuk.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press center of the Presidential Office.
As noted, the commander of the 59th Air Assault Brigade Bohdan Shevchuk reported on the situation in the brigade's area of responsibility and interaction with neighbouring units.
Separately, the Head of State heard a report on the use of unmanned systems, electronic warfare equipment, and robotic systems. The brigade has its own production of these systems and is actively introducing innovative technologies.
Zelenskyy also awarded the soldiers present with the Orders of Bohdan Khmelnytsky of the II and III degrees and handed over the awards to other servicemen of the brigade.
"Thank you for this opportunity to award you personally, to thank you from Ukraine, from all Ukrainians. Thank you for defending our country - for standing firm and strong. We wish health to your families and friends - this is very important - to all of you. We wish you victory. Thank you for your service," the President said.
The Head of State also spoke with the commanders of the units. In particular, they discussed the recruitment and training of new pilots, as well as the military's opinion on the necessary security guarantees for Ukraine. The commanders voiced the need for certain types of weapons and equipment.
