Minibus with Ukrainians involved in road accident in Austria: four dead. PHOTOS

Four women from Ukraine were killed in a minibus and truck accident in the Neunkirchen district of Lower Austria. Four other Ukrainians were seriously injured.

It is known that the accident occurred on 1 April at about 6:20 (7:20 Kyiv time) on the A2 motorway near the town of Seebenstein in the direction of Vienna.

According to preliminary police reports, the collision occurred when the semi-trailer was leaving the parking space for the acceleration lane and the minibus with the Ukrainians crashed into it.

In total, according to media reports, there were 8 Ukrainians in the minibus - a male driver and seven female passengers. There were no children among them.

Four of the eight passengers in the minibus were killed in the collision, and all the others were seriously injured. The injured people were trapped in the minibus and had to be rescued, and later hospitalised.

There were two men in the truck, both citizens of Peru.

Three helicopters, three emergency medical teams, nine rescue vehicles and nine fire trucks were deployed to the accident site.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing. Law enforcement officers are to question the two passengers of the semi-trailer and the injured Ukrainians.
