President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted to today's Russian attack on Ukrainian cities, stressing that every defence package is very important for Ukraine.
Zelenskyy wrote about this оn Telegram, Censor.NET reports.
"This is exactly how Russia started this Good Friday - with ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, 'shaheds' - mockery of our people and cities.
A missile strike on Kharkiv, just on the city. Dozens of ordinary houses, businesses, and cars were damaged. About 70 people were injured, including five children; the youngest, Valeria, is only 2 years old. All the injured received the necessary help. Unfortunately, one person died.
Sumy. Russian attack drones. One of the targets is an ordinary bread production facility, an ordinary enterprise that has been working for the city for decades. Unfortunately, one person was killed by this strike. My condolences to all those who lost their loved ones.
There have also been Russian strikes in the Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, and Donetsk regions," he said in a statement.
The President emphasised that rescuers, medics, and other emergency and special services were responding and helping.
"I am grateful to each and every person who saves people and restores living conditions in the cities and villages of Ukraine.
I am grateful to each of our partners who help defend Ukraine. Each defence package matters, all air defence systems, a sufficient number of missiles for air defence - all this really helps," Zelenskyy added.
