In Zaporizhzhia, 28-year-old Nataliia Ilienko died after fighting for her life for three months following injuries sustained during enemy shelling.

Details of the tragedy
As noted, the tragedy occurred on 18 August 2025: two Russian missile strikes on the Dnipro district damaged eight high-rise buildings, commercial premises and a public transport stop.
Nataliia was opening her coffee shop at that time.
Shrapnel from the rocket severely damaged her spine. Her spinal cord was damaged. Natalia's body is paralysed, she cannot breathe on her own, " her husband Maksym Ilyenko wrote at the time.
The woman died, despite her family's hopes
Doctors fought for the woman's life for almost three months. The family hoped for her transfer to a hospital in the capital and further rehabilitation, but unfortunately, Nataliia passed away.
"The injury was incompatible with life," her husband said.
Nataliia Ilienko was not only an entrepreneur, but also a wife and mother, a person who inspired others with her energy and love of life.
Her husband and family express their gratitude to everyone who supported them during these difficult months.
