Special equipment used by Russian intelligence services found in office of engineer at Ukrainian defense company TechEx – statement. PHOTOS
Special equipment used by Russian intelligence services was discovered in the office of the chief engineer at one of the offices of the Ukrainian defense company TechEx. Industry representatives warn that all Ukrainian arms manufacturers are in the crosshairs of Russian intelligence.
As reported by Censor.NET, this was stated by TechEx in a statement published on its Facebook page.
"Ukrainian arms manufacturers should get ready. The enemy is hunting in the rear. This morning, special equipment used by Russian intelligence services was removed from the office of the chief engineer at one of our offices. Yes, wiretapping equipment too," the statement said.
Sensitive information leak prevented
But thanks to the joint efforts of the SSU Counterintelligence Department and our team, it was possible to prevent a leak of sensitive information, protect production facilities, and secure critically important data. In addition, over a long period of time, a number of measures were carried out to misinform the enemy. Put simply, we had been feeding them crap for a long time.
"We are a team that was created from the outset by military personnel to meet the needs of the military. That is why it is especially hard for us to admit that KGB-style methods work and are still effective. The enemy is playing a dirty, highly professional game, and our own resources are no longer enough. Our security system has several layers, takes into account all available latest updates, and includes constant work with personnel, but we are not counterintelligence and do not have the resources and capabilities they do," the statement stressed.
The company thanked the staff of the SSU’s Counter-Intelligence Department
"We express our gratitude to the employees of the SBU Counterintelligence Department! Today we managed to expose the enemy, but we understand that this will not be its last attempt. All Ukrainian arms manufacturers, their technologies, employees, suppliers, and production facilities are in the crosshairs of Russian intelligence," the statement said.
Call to strengthen data protection in defence companies
The company also urged colleagues not to delay, to compare notes, carry out additional checks, and update access levels. Unfortunately, it cannot be ruled out that similar ‘surprises’ are already present in your offices. We are open to sharing our own experience, so get in touch, because all of us are working toward one goal — Ukraine’s victory.
