Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi, together with Chief of Defence of the Kingdom of Norway General Eirik Kristoffersen, visited military command bodies, separate air assault and assault units carrying out combat missions to repel the armed aggression of the Russian Federation in the Southern operational zone.

Syrskyi reported this on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.

Norway is a committed ally of Ukraine in war

The Kingdom of Norway is one of Ukraine’s most consistent and committed allies during the full-scale war for independence, particularly in terms of providing military assistance and allocating funds to strengthen Ukraine’s Defense Forces with air defense systems, UAVs, ammunition, and other capabilities.

At the front, General Eirik Kristoffersen personally familiarized himself with the operational situation and how the available weapons are being used.

The urgent needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were also discussed:

  • weapons,
  • military equipment,
  • ammunition,
  • and further strengthening of cooperation both within bilateral cooperation and in broader formats.

Syrskyi expressed gratitude to the Chief of Defence of the Kingdom of Norway, the government, and the entire Norwegian people for their steadfast support for Ukraine and Norway’s wide-ranging assistance.

"We continue working to bring peace in Ukraine closer and strengthen the security of democratic Europe. Glory to Ukraine!" the Commander-in-Chief emphasized.
