"Dragons Gold", "Slotoland" and "Rino": network of shadow online casinos with UAH 141 million turnover exposed – Prosecutor General Kravchenko. PHOTOS

Law enforcement officers exposed an organized group that, according to the investigation, had set up a network of illegal online casinos under the brands "Dragons Gold", "Slotoland," and "Rino". More than UAH 141 million passed through shadow financial operations, including cryptocurrency transactions, over several years. Five participants have been notified of suspicion.

This was announced by Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko on his Telegram channel, Censor.NET reports.

While some people work and pay taxes, others build a shadow business, making money from people's gambling and hiding profits from the state.

Illegal online casinos operated for four years

Five members of the organized group set up the operation of illegal online casinos under the brands "Dragons Gold", "Slotoland," and "Rino". Without licenses, without control, without paying taxes.

Over nearly four years, more than UAH 58 million passed through bank accounts used to accept bets. More than 1.84 million USDT also went to cryptocurrency wallets linked to the activities of this network. The total volume of established financial operations exceeds UAH 141 million.

One of the organisers is a lawyer

It is particularly telling that, according to the investigation, one of the organizers turned out to be a practicing lawyer. A person whose profession requires him to stand up for the law himself became involved in a scheme to circumvent it.

Ten searches have been carried out. Five suspects have been served with notices of suspicion. At the request of prosecutors, the organizer was placed in custody as a pre-trial restraint, with the alternative of nearly UAH 5 million in bail.

"Illegal gambling is not about entertainment. It is about shadow funds, money laundering, and systematic violations of the law. The investigation is ongoing. We are identifying everyone involved in organizing, financing, and servicing this scheme. This is not the end. We continue working," Kravchenko stressed.
