According to Censor.NET, this was reported on the Facebook page of the Drohobych City Hospital No. 1.

"The beginning of the week at Drohobych City Hospital No. 1 started with an unpleasant incident: unknown individuals entered the premises of the outpatient oncology and gynecological care unit, as well as the urology department, at night, from 28 to 29 June, and damaged property in the offices," the statement reads.

What was damaged at the Drohobych hospital

The malicious actions by unknown individuals were discovered directly by department employees, who came to work in the morning on 29 June.

  • In particular, according to medical specialists, door frames and locks were damaged in most oncology offices.
  • Inside the offices themselves, cables from work computers and internet network cables were damaged and cut.
  • In addition, drawers in doctors’ desks were rummaged through, and property was destroyed, including examination couches, partitions in the gynecology office and other items. As a result of these actions by the perpetrators, the hospital suffered material damage.

"Overall, the damaged property and doctors’ work computers put out of operation are an act of direct contempt for the difficult work of medical staff and for patients," the hospital stressed.

Law enforcement officers were called to the scene. They will carry out the necessary investigative actions, establish the circumstances of the incident and search for the perpetrators.

Despite the unpleasant situation, the department continues to operate as usual, and medical staff are providing care to seriously ill patients.

Residents of the community who have any information regarding this matter are urged to report it to law enforcement agencies.
