Delegation from National Police of Ukraine discussed with the FBI, US State Department and Congress investigation of war crimes and countering hybrid threats. PHOTOS
During a working visit to the US, a delegation from the National Police of Ukraine held a series of meetings with law enforcement and security partners, as well as with members of Congress who support Ukraine. The main focus was on the practical value of Ukrainian investigations for shared security.

Composition of the delegation
As noted, the delegation comprised the First Deputy Head of the National Police of Ukraine – Head of the Main Investigative Directorate Maksym Tsutskiridze, Director of the Department of International Police Cooperation Zurab Adeishvili, Oleksandr Shapovalov, Head of the Directorate for the Documentation of Crimes Committed in Conditions of Armed Conflict; and Dmytro Shevchuk, Deputy Head of the Directorate for the Organisation of Investigations into Crimes Committed in Conditions of Armed Conflict.
Exchange of experience
"Ukrainian police officers shared with their American partners their experience of investigating war crimes and transnational threats linked to Russian aggression. The discussions covered the activities of mercenaries, the illicit trafficking of weapons and drugs, sabotage, cybercrime, recruitment via Telegram, attacks on critical infrastructure and risks to international security," the statement said.
During the visit, meetings were held with representatives of the US Department of Homeland Security, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Interpol National Central Bureau in Washington, the US State Department, the professional security community Homeland Security Today, as well as members of the US Congress.
The parties discussed deepening the exchange of information on war criminals, international mercenaries and transnational criminal networks; cooperation in specific criminal proceedings; joint exercises; and the use of Ukrainian expertise to counter hybrid threats that Russia is attempting to spread beyond Ukraine’s borders.
