Children’s hospital in Solomianskyi district of Kyiv was damaged by Russian attack: windows were shattered on all floors. PHOTOS

As a result of the Russian attack on Kyiv on the night of 20 August, a children’s hospital in the Solomianskyi district was damaged. The blast wave shattered windows on all floors of the hospital, damaged the doors to wards and offices, and completely destroyed one of the service rooms.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the Department of Health of the Kyiv City State Administration.
"As a result of the Russian attack on Kyiv on the night of 20 August, the premises of a children’s hospital in the Solomianskyi district of the capital were damaged. None of the hospital’s patients or medical staff were injured," the statement reads.
Destruction of the children’s hospital
- Windows have been smashed on every floor and in every ward of the hospital building. Doors have been damaged in some wards and offices.
- The hospital’s technical facilities were hardest hit by the attack. One of them was completely destroyed down to its foundations, whilst several others sustained significant damage.
As noted, experts are currently assessing the extent of the damage and the consequences of the enemy attack. Medical care for patients is continuing.
Massive shelling on 20 August
- On the night of 20 August, Russian occupiers fired ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as drones, at Kyiv and the surrounding region.
- As a result of the enemy strikes in the Kyiv region, one person is known to have been killed in the Brovary district. Seven people were injured.
- In Kyiv, Russian shelling claimed the lives of 13 people. Over 30 people were injured.
